Although Kenny Chesney's new album is all but certain to dethrone her next week, Taylor Swift can revel in the fact that her self-titled debut CD has now held the summit of Billboard's country albums chart for eight straight weeks. When you think Taylor Swift, I hope you think about that.

Meanwhile, Rascal Flatts managed to topple the mighty Garth Brooks from the top of the country singles chart with the imploring "Take Me There." Brooks' "More Than a Memory," which made country music history by rocketing to No. 1 its first week out, slips to No. 8.

There are no new albums on the current chart and only two new songs. Chesney's duet with George Strait, "Shiftwork," clocks in at No. 47, while Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" bows at No. 54.

Coming back onto the album listing are The Very Best of Reba McEntire: 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection (No. 73) and Dolly Parton's 16 Biggest Hits (No. 74). The lone return to the songs chart is Bon Jovi and LeAnn Rimes' "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore" (No. 60).

Chesney's rising single, "Don't Blink," spurts from No. 14 to No. 10, and Sugarland's Enjoy the Ride CD ascends from No. 9 to No. 6 (after having peaked earlier at No. 2).

Following Swift in the Top 5 albums ranking are -- in descending order -- Brad Paisley's 5th Gear, Tim McGraw's Let It Go, Lyle Lovett's It's Not Big It's Large and the unsinkable Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts.

Completing the Top 5 songs, also in step-down sequence, are Rodney Atkins' "These Are My People," Toby Keith's "Love Me If You Can," Brooks & Dunn's "Proud of the House We Built" and Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You."
