Vince Gill, Patty Griffin, Jewel and Trisha Yearwood will perform together in New York City to raise money for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The invitation-only event, hosted by actor Ethan Hawke, will be held at the Nokia Theatre Times Square on Oct. 10. The musicians will participate in a guitar pull, in which everybody takes a turn singing a song and often sharing the story behind it. Unannounced songwriters, including some from outside of the country genre, are also expected to perform at the gala event. This is the Hall’s first attempt to create an annual fundraising event outside of Nashville.
