Carrie Underwood Sells 527,101 Units in Debut Week

Carrie Underwood’s Carnival Ride sold 527,101 units in its first week of sales, making it the best-selling debut week of any female artist in 2007. It’s also the highest debut week ever for a country artist’s second album. Digital sales of 44,928 mark the largest country debut in digital album chart history. Upcoming TV appearances include The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (Nov. 5), the CMA Awards on Nov. 7, Good Morning America on Nov. 12 and The Late Show With David Letterman on Nov. 13.
