Jerry Douglas Plans Two New CDs in 2008

Jerry Douglas has announced plans for two new albums next year, including one with Alison Krauss & Union Station. Douglas told reporters at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 7) that he’ll start recording a new album with Krauss and her band in the spring or early summer and that he’ll release a solo album on Koch Records in April. He said he will also tour to support his upcoming solo record which follows recent outings with Paul Simon and Edgar Meyer. Douglas won his third CMA trophy for musician of the year at Wednesday’s awards show.
