Toby Keith Inducted Into Oklahoma Hall of Fame

Toby Keith was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame during ceremonies on Thursday (Nov. 8) in Oklahoma City. Keith is one of the few musicians who has gained membership into the Hall of Fame, which has inducted more than 600 members from all walks of life since it was established in 1928. Other members include Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Woody Guthrie and songwriter Jimmy Webb. Keith, one of eight new Hall of Fame members honored this year, was inducted by former U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James L. Jones, who first suggested Keith record “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” after hearing him play it for U.S. troops.
