Shelby Lynne’s Springfield Tribute Arrives Jan. 29

Shelby Lynne’s tribute to the late Dusty Springfield, Just a Little Lovin’, will be released Jan. 29 on Lost Highway Records. It was produced by Phil Ramone, whose production credits include projects with Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel and Frank Sinatra. He also produced Springfield’s 1967 recording of “The Look of Love” for the film, Casino Royale. Springfield died of cancer in 1999. Nine of the 10 tracks on Lynne’s album are remakes of Springfield’s hits, including “Anyone Who Had a Heart” “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me.” It also includes Lynne’s original song, “Pretend.” The album was recorded live in the Capitol Records studio in Los Angeles. She previewed the material in November during concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Nashville.
