Corn Chowder

So good in cold weather

5 slices bacon
1 can whole kernel corn
1 medium onion chopped
1 cup chopped potatoes
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon
1 can cream of celery soup
2 cups milk
1 can cream-style corn

Fry bacon in saucepan until crisp. Remove bacon and reserve drippings. Drain whole kernel corn, reserving liquid. Add enough water to reserved liquid to make 1/2 cup. Add to drippings in saucepan. Add onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, salt and pepper.

Simmer covered for 15 minutes. Stir in soup, milk, drained corn and cream-style corn. Simmer until heated through. Ladle into soup bowls. Crumble bacon over soup.
