Fried Chicken Legs

10 chicken legs
1 cup self-rising flour
1 1/2 t salt
1 t pepper
Crisco 1/2 inch melted in fry pan

Wash chicken. Place legs in a bowl of condensed milk. Set aside. Place 1 cup self-rising flour, salt and pepper in a plastic bag. Remove chicken from milk, sprinkle a small amount of salt on each leg. Place 4 legs at a time into flour mixture. Coat well. Place legs in heated Crisco (not smoking). Fry until brown around the edges. Turn chicken only once. Place lid on skillet for 15 minutes. Be sure legs are done and crisp.
