Paisley Announces Summer Tourmates During Private Show for Country Radio Personnel

Brad Paisley's summer tourmates Jewel and Chuck Wicks joined him onstage Wednesday night (March 5) at the Nashville Convention Center at Music City Jam, a private concert taking place during the 39th annual Country Radio Seminar.

In addition to playing a lengthy set of his hits for the crowd of radio programmers and executives, he also introduced newcomer Julianne Hough, who will be also be on the tour. Hough, a professional dancer who is recording an album for Mercury Nashville, is best known for her work on the TV series, Dancing With the Stars. Paisley's tour, billed as the Paisley Party, kicks off June 11 in Albuquerque, N.M., and has 42 dates scheduled through Oct. 18 in San Antonio.

Jewel, whose single, "Stronger Woman," climbs to the Top 20 of Billboard's country chart this week, performed her pop hit, "You Were Meant for Me," at Wednesday's CRS show. Paisley served as a sideman to Wicks, playing guitar on a cover version of Eddie Rabbitt's "Drivin' My Life Away" and Wicks' own hit, "Stealing Cinderella."

Also at the CRS event, Sony BMG executives Joe Galante, Butch Waugh and Tom Baldrica presented Paisley with a huge plaque commemorating his career sales of more than 10 million albums.
