The annual South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference will be held March 12-16 in Austin, Texas. The event features numerous panels for independent musicians and music executives, as well as hundreds of showcases from musicians in Austin and around the world. BMI and SXSW will present an Americana showcase at the Austin Music Hall on Friday night (March 14) featuring Reckless Kelly, Junior Brown, Shelby Lynne and Bruce Robison. The concert will be open to the public. Dolly Parton, who had been scheduled to perform at the event, canceled her appearance last week.
