Bon Jovi Guitarist Richie Sambora Arrested for Suspicion of DUI

Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora was arrested late Tuesday night (March 25) in Laguna Beach, Calif., on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Sambora, 49, was driving a black Hummer when police stopped the SUV for weaving across the center traffic line. Police said three females — including two minors — were in the vehicle at the time of his arrest. He voluntarily submitted to verbal and manual field sobriety tests, and he was later given a blood test. Sambora, a resident of Laguna Beach, was transported to the local jail and released approximately five hours later. A May 7 court date has been scheduled in the misdemeanor case. Sambora, who has publicly acknowledged his battle with alcohol, underwent treatment at a rehab center in Los Angeles last year.
