Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Raul Malo, Jypsi and Los Lonely Boys are among those scheduled to perform during Earth Day celebrations taking place across the U.S. this weekend. Skaggs will appear Sunday (April 20) at New York’s Central Park on a bill that includes Big Head Todd & the Monsters and the Bacon Brothers. Malo and Jypsi (“I Don’t Love You Like That”) will perform Saturday (April 19) at Nashville’s Centennial Park. Other artists on the Nashville lineup include singer-songwriter Jen Foster, local duo Sam & Ruby and the Atlanta band Five Star Iris. Los Lonely Boys and Junior Brown will perform Sunday in Dallas at Fair Park. Also on Sunday, the Yonder Mountain String Band and Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart will play at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Earth Day concerts are scheduled in other cities, including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami and Washington, D.C.
