Randy Owen Treats Fans to a Free Concert in Las Vegas

Randy Owen treated fans to more than an hour of Alabama's hits during a free concert Friday night (May 16) at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. The show coincided with the ACM Awards show taking place Sunday night (May 18) at the MGM Grand on the Vegas Strip. Owen had the crowd waving its arms even before he sang the first note of the opening song, "If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band)." He kept their attention for more than an hour with a diverse set list that included "Old Flame," "Feels So Right," "Tennessee River," "Dancin' on the Boulevard" and "My Home's in Alabama." Earlier in the evening, Keith Anderson, James Otto and Whiskey Falls entertained the downtown crowd. The Fremont Street concerts continue Saturday night (May 17) with the Lost Trailers, former Trick Pony vocalist Heidi Newfield and the headliner, Sugarland.
