Regie Hamm, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, has won the second annual American Idol songwriting competition. His song, "Time of My Life," will be performed live by the winner of the show -- either David Archuleta or David Cook -- on Wednesday (May 21). "This song is about living in the moment and embracing your blessings and letting go of bitterness and past pain," he said. The song was chosen by fans from among 20 finalists, narrowed down from thousands of submissions.
