Southern Baked Beans

Since this recipe said “Southern,” I felt it my Christian duty to try ’em. The beans are easy to make and great to eat with franks or burgers.

1/4 pound bacon
1 large onion diced
1 15-ounce can pork and beans
2 tablespoons mustard
4 tablespoons ketchup
5 tablespoons maple syrup

Preheat oven to 325°.

Fry bacon; crumble. Sauté onions in drippings. Crumble bacon in with the onion and drippings and add remaining ingredients. Pour into casserole and cook 50 minutes.
