Songwriter Whitey Shafer Honored by Hall of Fame

Songwriter Whitey Shafer will be interviewed and perform his songs at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on June 21 as part of the organization's Poets and Prophets songwriting series. Shafer's credits include Lefty Frizzell's "That's the Way Love Goes" and "I Never Go Around Mirrors," as well as George Strait's "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" and "All My Ex's Live in Texas." Since the 1970s, his songs have also been recorded by Moe Bandy, Kenny Chesney, Don Everly, John Michael Montgomery, Johnny Russell, Connie Smith, Rhonda Vincent, Keith Whitley, Lee Ann Womack and others.
