Country Style Steak

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 pounds cubed steak
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 medium onion sliced
1 cup water
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup coffee, brewed
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Cut steak into serving pieces. Combine first three ingredients. Dredge meat in flour mixture. Fry steak in oil in batches over medium heat until brown. Remove steak from pan and set aside. 

Add onions to skillet and cook until tender. Return steak to skillet. Add water and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Cook 45 minutes until tender. 

Remove steak, reserving drippings. Add 1/4 cup flour to skillet, stirring until smooth. Gradually add milk and coffee. Cook over medium heat stirring until thickened. Stir in Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Serve gravy with steak and hot biscuits.
