Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus performed at a Nashville-area skate festival on Sunday (June 29) to honor Alex LaVasseur, the late son of songwriter Jeffrey Steele. LaVasseur, 13, was killed in an ATV accident last year. Along with the Cyrus’ surprise appearances, the memorial festival included a concert featuring Doobie Brothers vocalist Michael McDonald. Billy Ray Cyrus is currently the host of Nashville Star. Steele serves as a judge on the show. At the festival, Miley Cyrus sang “Hollywood Girl,” a song Steele wrote.
