Charlie Louvin, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame as one-half of the Louvin Brothers, will release two albums later this year. Steps to Heaven, which features 10 traditional gospel classics, including two songs by the Louvin Brothers, will be released on Sept. 16. Charlie Louvin Sings Murder Ballads & Disaster Songs will follow on Dec. 9. Both albums were produced by Mark Nevers and will be released on the Tompkins Square label. Louvin's self-titled album for the label, released in 2007, earned a Grammy nomination for best traditional folk album.
