Randy Owen Will Perform Concert for Victims of Church Shooting

Randy Owen will hold a concert in Knoxville, Tenn., to raise money for those involved in recent shooting at a local church. The Aug. 15 concert will be held at the Cotton Eyed Joe nightclub, and donations will be accepted at the door. The shooting occurred at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church on July 27 when a gunman walked into the sanctuary during a children’s musical performance. Two adults were killed and seven other people wounded. “It doesn’t matter what your beliefs are, this was just a senseless act committed in a house of worship,” said Owen, best known as the lead singer of Alabama. “I’m sure a lot of people will be stepping up to help, and we just wanted to do something to stand with these folks.”
