Patty Loveless, Rodney Crowell and the Del McCoury Band will perform in New York City early next year as part of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook concert series. Scheduled for Jan. 14-March 6, the series celebrates the diversity of American songs, including pop, folk, show tunes, R&B and country. This year’s offering also honors classic American songwriters, such as Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim, and will include performances by David Hyde Pierce, Phylicia Rashad, singer-songwriter Amos Lee, Academy Award-winning composer-pianist Alan Menken and singer-guitarist John Pizzarelli. Loveless appears Jan. 15, Crowell on Jan. 23 and McCoury on Feb. 5. Crowell’s concert is billed as “Rodney Crowell Sings Portraits of Women” and will feature a special appearance by his former wife, singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash.
