Country Weekly Goes Weekly (Again), Drops Subscriptions

Country Weekly magazine will return to a weekly format starting in February, but it will discontinue all current subscriptions, AdAge.com reports. Instead, the periodical will be sold exclusively on retail racks for $2.49 — a dollar less than its current issue price. It is projected to sell approximately 75,000 copies per issue on newsstands, according to AdAge.com. The periodical, which has been published every two weeks over the last few years, is owned by American Media, which also publishes National Enquirer, Shape and Star magazines.
