Kid Rock, Faith Hill Highlight Tuesday's Inaugural Balls

Kid Rock and Faith Hill performed Tuesday night (Jan. 20) in Washington, D.C., at separate balls celebrating the inauguration of President Barack Obama while the Gatlin Brothers, Rodney Atkins and Lee Greenwood welcomed former President George W. Bush and wife Laura back home in Texas. During the Youth Ball at the Hilton Washington, Kid Rock performed "Amen," a song from his Rock N Roll Jesus album. Televised on MTV in a special titled Be the Change: Live From the Inaugural, the ball also included musical performances by Kanye West and Fall Out Boy. During the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center, Hill joined Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Will.I.Am, Maroon 5, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Shakira and Sting on background vocals while Stevie Wonder sang "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" while Obama and wife Michelle danced. Hill also performed "If My Heart Had Wings," her Top 10 country hit from 2001. ... Earlier in the day in Midland, Texas, an estimated 30,000 people showed up at the city's Centennial Plaza to welcome the Bushes. The Gatlins had performed two weeks ago at the White House.
