Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd Plan Summer Tour

Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a 22-city tour together this summer, following a successful run in 2008. Billed as the Rock and Rebels tour, the itinerary begins June 26 in West Palm Beach, Fla., and concludes Aug. 2 in New York City. Lynyrd Skynyd founding member Gary Rossington and vocalist Johnny Van Zant are currently recording the band’s new album in Nashville, their first since founding member and keyboard player Billy Powell died in January. The project is expected to be released later this year. The band’s most recent album, Vicious Cycle, was released in 2003.
