Strawberry Cake

Strawberry picking time is nearby!

Cake layers:
1 box white cake mix
1 3-ounce box strawberry gelatin dessert
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup strawberries, mashed
½ cup milk
4 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup coconut

Preheat oven to 350°.

Mix all ingredients and bake at 350° in three greased and floured layer pans for 25 minutes.
Allow to cool.

Icing:
1 box confectioners’ sugar
1 stick softened butter
1 3-ounce package cream cheese softened
½ cup mashed strawberries
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup coconut

Mix well and spread between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
