The Nashville-based Morris Management Group and music industry veteran Irving Azoff are launching Treehouse Records as an in-house label at the management company. Singer-songwriter Blaine Larsen, who scored a Top 20 hit in 2004 with “How Do You Get That Lonely,” is the first artist signed to the label. Azoff, CEO of Front Line Management and Ticketmaster, is co-founding the label with MMG’s Dale Morris, Clint Higham and Mike Betterton, who have managed Larsen for five years. Frontline Management acquired MMG earlier this year. MMG manages the careers of Kenny Chesney, John Rich, Randy Owen, Gretchen Wilson and Jake Owen, among others.
