Songwriter Cindy Walker Donated Royalties to Country Music Hall of Fame

Cindy Walker, the late songwriter whose extensive credits include “You Don’t Know Me” and “Cherokee Maiden,” has bequeathed the writer’s share of her future royalties to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Walker, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1997, died in 2006. Museum trustee David Conrad announced plans for a 12-song demo of Walker’s songs aimed at film and television music supervisors.¬†With Conrad as executive producer, volunteer producers Tony Brown, Fred Foster and Vince Gill will each produce four songs for the project.
