Warner Bros. Nashville Chief Bill Bennett Exits Label

Warner Bros. Nashville executive vice president and GM Bill Bennett is leaving the label after five years as head of its country division, Country Aircheck reported Friday (Aug. 21). Bennett, who previously served as president of Geffen and Maverick Records, succeeded longtime label chief Jim Ed Norman, who retired in 2004. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Nashville entered into a partnership with the Emblem Music Group to introduce the new band, Gloriana. Warner Bros. Nashville’s artist roster includes Faith Hill, Blake Shelton, Big & Rich, John Rich, James Otto, Jessica Harp, Michelle Branch and Whitney Duncan.
