Luke Bryan, Rosanne Cash, Steep Canyon Rangers Offer New Music

Luke Bryan, Rosanne Cash and Steep Canyon Rangers are among the country artists releasing new albums on Tuesday (Oct. 6). Bryan’s Doin’ My Thing (Capitol Nashville) includes the hit, “Do I” , as well as a cover of One Republic’s “Apologize.” Cash’s The List includes selections from a list of 100 essential country songs given to her by her father, the late Johnny Cash, when she was 18. Steep Canyon Rangers’ Deep in the Shade (Rebel) includes 10 originals, plus covers of Merle Haggard’s “I Must Be Somebody Else You’ve Known” and Leadbelly’s “Sylvie.” The bluegrass band is currently touring with Steve Martin. Other new releases include Brandi Carlile’s Give Up the Ghost (Columbia), Elliott Brood’s Mountain Meadows (Six Shooter) and Lucero’s 1372 Overton Park (Universal Republic). Comedian Bill Engvall also delivers his new album, Aged and Confused (Warner Bros./Jack Records).
