Hughie Thomasson’s Last Album With the Outlaws to Be Released

The family of the late Hughie Thomasson, founder and guitarist for the Outlaws and former Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist, has announced that his last album with the band, Once an Outlaw, will be released next year. Thomasson was working with the Outlaws on the project when he died suddenly in September 2007. A specific release date has not been scheduled, but the album will be followed by an announcement of a reformation of the band, a tour and a new Web site. Chris Hicks, who was with the Outlaws from 1990 to 1996, will front the new band.
