Carrie Underwood Chosen to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl

Carrie Underwood has been chosen to sing the national anthem prior to Super Bowl XLIV at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on Feb. 7. The performance will be televised live by CBS Sports. In addition, Queen Latifah will sing “America the Beautiful.” Underwood is the fifth country artist to sing prior to a Super Bowl game, following the Dixie Chicks (2003), Faith Hill (2000), Garth Brooks (1993) and Charley Pride (1974).
