Darius Rucker and Friends Present Storytellers Showcase at CRS

Darius Rucker introduced several of Nashville's most successful songwriters while hosting a Wednesday (Feb. 24) afternoon showcase during Country Radio Seminar, an annual event aimed at country radio programmers. The event was sponsored by ASCAP, a performing rights organization. Rucker, who noted he was a longtime fan of Foster & Lloyd, first brought Radney Foster to the stage for a collaborative performance of "You Can Come Cryin' to Me." The rest of the showcase, however, belonged to many of the co-writers featured on Rucker's debut No. 1 country album, Learn to Live. Each songwriter took turns performing, including Frank Rogers (also Rucker's producer), Rivers Rutherford, Chris Stapleton, Ashley Gorley, Chris DuBois, Dave Berg and Clay Mills. The performances included Rucker's three No. 1 hits, "Alright," "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," "It Won't Be Like This for Long" and his current Top 5 single, "History in the Making."
