The Eagles, the Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban will unite for a summer tour beginning June 8 at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Urban will not appear at three of the eight concert dates, including the first show at Toronto’s Rogers Center, a June 22 stop at Canada Inns Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the closing show on Busch Stadium in St. Louis on June 24. All three artists will perform at Meadowlands Stadium near New York City on June 10, Gillette Stadium near Boston on June 12, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on June 14 and Soldier Field in Chicago on June 19. The Dixie Chicks’ most recent album, Takin’ the Long Way, was released in 2006. Band members Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have recorded a side project as the Court Yard Hounds. They will perform Thursday (March 18) at Antone’s in Austin, Texas, during the South by Southwest music conference.
