Zac Brown Band Promotes Letter Campaign to U.S. Troops

The Zac Brown Band will be working with a major truck manufacturer for a national campaign aimed at sending 1 million letters to U.S. soldiers stationed throughout the world. Participants who write a letter to a U.S. soldier will receive a special compilation CD, Breaking Southern Ground featuring three new songs by the Zac Brown Band and music from Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan and Levi Lowrey, artists signed to Brown’s label, Southern Ground Records. The partnership with the Ram Trucks brand also includes an online documentary of the behind-the-scenes footage of the band visiting with troops during their USO tour of the Persian Gulf in 2009. A live version of the band’s latest single, “Free,” will be available for download for 100,000 fans on the truck company’s Web site.
