Chely Wright Releases New Album and Memoir

Chely Wright released a new album, Lifted Off the Ground, on Tuesday (May 4). Produced by Rodney Crowell, it’s the singer-songwriter’s first album for Vanguard Records. The album release coincides with her new memoir, Like Me, in which she discusses her Nashville music career (with hits such as “Single White Female” and “Shut Up and Drive”) and her homosexuality, which she divulged in People magazine this week. Other new releases include Austins Bridge’s Times Like These (Daywind), a Christian pop album produced by Rascal Flatts‘ Jay DeMarcus, as well as Justin Currie’s The Great War (Ryko) and Josh Ritter’s So Runs the World Away (Pytheas).
