Zac Brown Band, Alison Krauss Will Play Hangout Festival Despite Oil Spill

The Zac Brown Band and Alison Krauss & Union Station Featuring Jerry Douglas will play the inaugural Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., as scheduled this weekend, despite the offshore oil leak from the exploded Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig last month near the Louisiana coast. Festival organizers have been organizing clean-up volunteers for recovery efforts in the area, as well as encouraging fans to bring donations and supplies. The Zac Brown Band and Krauss & Union Station are Friday’s (May 14) headliners. The festival continues through Sunday (May 16) with performances by the Black Crowes, John Legend, the Roots, Jakob Dylan, Gov’t Mule, Ray LaMontagne and Trey Anastasio & TAB.
