Taylor Swift's "Love Story" Awarded BMI Pop Song of the Year

Taylor Swift's "Love Story" was named song of the year at the BMI Pop Awards during a gala ceremony in Los Angeles on Tuesday (May 18). The award recognizes the song that received the most airplay during the past year. At 20, Swift is the youngest songwriter to receive the honor and the first country winner since Faith Hill's "Breathe" earned the award for Stephanie Bentley in 2000. Other former winners from the country format include Shania Twain ("You're Still the One") and Dolly Parton ("I Will Always Love You"). "Love Story" earned BMI's country song of the year honors in 2009, and Swift also won BMI's country song of the year in 2008 for "Teardrops on My Guitar." See photos from the red carpet.
