Martina McBride Helps YWCA Raise More Than $100,000 at Auction

This year's YWCA celebrity auction hosted by Martina McBride raised $102,289 during the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Sunday's (June 13) event benefited the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. The highest bids of the day were two $11,000 offers for handwritten, autographed and framed lyrics for "She's a Butterfly." Big Kenny, who co-wrote the song, assisted McBride in the auction. Other high bids included $6,000 for a Brad Paisley meet-and-greet and guitar, $4,600 for an autographed and framed Grand Ole Opry poster announcing McBride's induction into the Opry and $3,800 for a Keith Urban meet-and-greet and an autographed DVD. The money raised at this year's auction is a 29 percent increase above last year's total. McBride has hosted the charity auction since 1995.
