Loretta Lynn’s memoir, Loretta Lynn: Coal Miner’s Daughter, will be reissued in trade paperback on Sept. 21 by Vintage Books. The publication coincides with the 50th anniversary of Lynn’s first single, “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl,” and the 30th anniversary of the Academy Award-winning film, Coal Miner’s Daughter. Lynn will contribute a new foreword to the book, which has been out of print for nearly a decade. The memoir will be released simultaneously as an e-book and as an audio book narrated by Sissy Spacek, the actress who won an Oscar for portraying Lynn in the 1980 film. Lynn co-wrote the memoir with author George Vecsey. The Country Music Hall of Fame member will perform Saturday (June 26) at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
