Travis Tritt Plans to Launch His Own Label for Next Album

Travis Tritt plans to launch his own record label for his next album, he said in an interview with Billboard. Tritt told the publication he's seeking financial partners but that he's handling the creative side of the business himself. He released his most recent album, The Storm, on Category 5 Records in 2007 but sued the label later that year alleging breach of contract and fraud. Tritt released his first single, "Country Club," on Warner Bros. Nashville in 1989, then moved to Columbia in 2000.
