Darius Rucker Schedules New Album, Charleston, SC 1966, for Oct. 12

Darius Rucker has scheduled his new album, Charleston, SC 1966, for an Oct. 12 release on Capitol Nashville. He co-produced the 12-song album with Frank Rogers. The title reflects singer-songwriter Radney Foster‘s 1992 country album, Del Rio, TX, 1959, which noted Foster’s birthplace and birth year. Rucker said Foster’s album showed him the possibilities of country music, according to an interview with The Associated Press. Rucker released his first country album for Capitol Nashville, Learning to Live, in 2008. The project was certified platinum for shipments of 1 million copies.
