Jerrod Niemann Evicts Lady A With Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury

Luke Bryan's "Rain Is a Good Thing" Stays at No. 1 for Second Week

Is this any way to treat a Lady?

Jerrod Niemann‘s Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury roars into the No. 1 berth on Billboard‘s country albums chart to dislodge Lady Antebellum‘s Need You Now, which has held that position for the last 24 weeks.

To achieve this miracle, Niemann sold 33,818 albums last week, compared to Lady A’s 26,942, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, don’t be surprised to see Lady A regain the penthouse for a spell.

In the meantime, Luke Bryan‘s “Rain Is a Good Thing” remains the top country song for its second week.

There are no other new albums to report, but Christian Kane’s self-titled EP and Randy TravisThree Wooden Crosses: The Inspirational Hits of Randy Travis return to the chart at No. 69 and No. 71, respectively.

Kenny Chesney‘s “The Boys of Fall” is the highest-debuting new song, arriving at No. 17. The week’s other newcomers are Uncle Kracker‘s “Good to Be Me,” featuring Kid Rock (No. 55) and Jessie James‘ “Boy in the Summer” (No. 58).

Following Judge Jerrod in the Top 5 albums are Need You Now, the Zac Brown Band‘s The Foundation, Miranda Lambert‘s Revolution and Carrie Underwood‘s Play On, in that order.

The No. 2 through No. 5 songs are Underwood’s “Undo It,” Niemann’s “Lover, Lover,” Brad Paisley‘s “Water” and the Zac Brown Band’s “Free.”

A lot of new albums are coming your way soon. Look for the charts to start churning.
