Willie Nelson has announced that the annual Farm Aid concert will take place in Wisconsin for the first time. Marking its 25th anniversary, the fundraising event is scheduled for Oct. 2 in Milwaukee. Nelson and co-founder John Mellencamp will reveal more details on the Farm Aid website on Monday (Aug. 2). Farm Aid’s mission is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America. Since 1985, organization has raised more than $37 million to support programs that help farmers thrive, expand the reach of the Good Food Movement, take action to change the dominant system of industrial agriculture and promote food from family farms.
