Jimmy Wayne Co-Writes Novella, Distributes Food to Gulf Coast

Jimmy Wayne has co-written a novella based on his experiences growing up in the foster care system in North Carolina. Named after one of his songs, Paper Angels is expected to be published in the fall of 2011 by Howard Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster. Wayne co-authored the book with novelist Travis Thrasher. In related news, Wayne recently partnered with Bryan Foods to deliver 2,500 pounds of food to the Gulf Coast region affected by the oil spill. The donation was presented to the Community Center of St. Bernard in Arabi, La., for its Mustard Seed Distribution Program. Wayne and Bryan Foods had previously teamed up for a donation of 2,500 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville following the May flood.
