Brooks & Dunn’s Kix Brooks Sets CMA Songwriter Series in Chicago

Brooks & Dunn’s Kix Brooks will perform at the CMA Songwriter Series on Oct. 8 and 9 during the Chicago Country Music Festival. Brooks will be joined by The Band Perry, David Lee Murphy and host Bob DiPiero during both shows at Joe’s Bar. Brooks’ writing credits include Brooks & Dunn’s “Brand New Man,” “Only in America,” “Red Dirt Road” and “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone.” The Band Perry’s writing credits include their first two singles, “Hip to My Heart” and “If I Die Young.” Murphy’s compositions include his hits “Party Crowd” and “Dust on the Bottle,” as well as Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor” and Kenny Chesney’s “Living in Fast Forward.” DiPiero’s credits include Brooks & Dunn’s “You Can’t Take the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl,” Faith Hill’s “Take Me as I Am,” Tim McGraw’s “Southern Voice” and George Strait’s “Blue Clear Sky,” among many others.
