Keith Urban’s on a 19-Second “Winning” Streak

Nineteen measly seconds? That’s all we get? What a tease that Keith Urban is. But I suppose 19 seconds of him jamming like crazy is better than not getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of him at all. In this video snippet , he’s goofing around in the studio playing Santana’s early 80’s hit, “Winning.” Urban’s one of the most adept guitarists I’ve ever seen play, so I can see why he’d want to play like Carlos Santana. Urban’s not singing in this little chunk of the tune, but I would love to hear it if he did. His voice would be pretty convincing on the lyrics like “I was so far down that I couldn’t get up/You know and one day I was one of life’s losers/Even my friends were my accusers/And in my head I lost before I’d begun.” Add a little ganjo and it could be a country song.
