Kelly Clarkson Does “Wanna Stay” in Country With Jason Aldean Duet

She just can’t get enough of country music, that Kelly Clarkson . Maybe after she did so well with the Reba McEntire duet of “Because of You,” she wants to keep one foot in the door in Nashville. And I say, bring it on. I can’t wait to hear this “Don’t You Wanna Stay” song that Clarkson and Jason Aldean recorded for his upcoming album. He isn’t out there collaborating with just anyone, so it seems like he made a careful decision with this one. I think her voice will suit his well. I just hope Clarkson’s not going to be shopping for a country record deal anytime soon. Back in February, she wrote an open letter to Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records, defending herself after she said he criticized American Idol for “producing simply vocalists that hit ’the high notes’.”
