Montgomery Gentry Exit Columbia Nashville

Montgomery Gentry has exited the roster of Columbia Nashville, their label home throughout their career. The duo charted their first single for the label, "Hillbilly Shoes," in 1999. Their No. 1 hits include "If You Ever Stop Loving Me," "Something to Be Proud Of," "Lucky Man," "Back When I Knew It All" and "Roll With Me." A compilation EP planned for a release later this month has been shelved. Columbia Nashville merged with the RCA label group in 2004 to form what is now Sony Music Nashville.
