A Bluegrass Playlist for IBMA’s Big Week in Nashville

It’s the IBMA’s World of Bluegrass week in Nashville — big news for bluegrass fans. The first few days are filled with socializing, seminars and late-night jam sessions, while the later portion includes a lively awards show and three days of concerts from the genre’s top touring bands. I truly enjoy bluegrass music because it often mixes a simple message with amazing instrumental dexterity — it’s a feast for the eyes and ears. Here’s a playlist of some new tunes that bluegrass fans might enjoy.

“Return to Sender,” Ricky Skaggs “In the Garden By the Fountain,” Rhonda Vincent with Dolly Parton “Going Up Home (live),” Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen “Torches,” Steve Gulley and Tim Stafford “I’ve Endured,” Ola Belle Reed (reissue)
“The Night Prayer,” Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band “Thirst and Hunger,” Russell Moore and Dale Ann Bradley “God’s Front Porch,” Lou Reid & Carolina “Flip Flop Flingers,” Tom Corbett “Prettiest Flowers,” Common Strings “Bloodline,” Darrell Webb Band “Under the Rushes,” Donna Beasley “Cello Medley,” Rockin’ Acoustic Circus “Saints and Sinners,” Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore
