The Band Perry, Lee Brice Score Their First Gold Singles

The Band Perry and Lee Brice scored their first gold singles this week for achieving sales of 500,000 downloads each. The Band Perry’s single, “If I Die Young,” is featured on their self-titled debut album to be released Tuesday (Oct. 12). The trio — siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry — will tour with Alan Jackson in November. Brice’s gold single, “Love Like Crazy,” recently broke the record for the number of weeks spent on Billboard‘s country songs chart. Its 55-week run surpassed the 54 weeks Eddy Arnold‘s “Bouquet of Roses” stayed on the chart after debuting in May 1948. Brice co-wrote his new single, “Beautiful Every Time,” with Rob Hatch and Lance Miller.
